NOTE: While 7.0 credits are awarded for this pathway, students entering Nursing are only able to apply 4.0 transfer credits towards their studies in order to meet degree requirements. 

Requirements

To qualify for this agreement, students must have:
- successfully completed Loyalist College's Biotechnology Advanced Diploma program;
- a minimum overall average of 75%.

NOTE: Students meeting the terms of this agreement are also eligible to apply to the Collaborative (4-year) or Compressed (28-month) Nursing programs, provided they complete two semesters of Biology, Chemistry and Math with a minimum cumulative average of 65% in each subject area. Admission to Nursing is competitive, and as a result, meeting the terms of this articulation agreement does not guarantee admission to the program. The Compressed Nursing program takes place over 28-consecutive months (7 consecutive semesters). The Trent/Fleming School of Nursing also offers a Collaborative Nursing degree program. The Collaborative Nursing degree program is offered on a full-time basis over four years, with the option to complete studies in three-and-a-half years. Students transferring to Trent through this agreement who are interested in the Collaborative Nursing degree program will have a lightened course load but will not be eligible to fast track through the program. Cancellation Policy

The agreement will be reviewed annually, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.
