Students admitted to the Bachelor of Computer Science (General) Degree Completion Program will obtain the equivalent of 1.5 years of Advanced Standing. Students will be awarded 15 semester course transfers (7.5 full credits). Additional credit for courses taken toward the CAAT Diploma will not be permitted.

Requirements

Graduates of three-year Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Systems, Computer Programming or Information Technology Advanced Diploma programs from an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology (CAAT with a grade-point average of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 (or a cumulative average of at least a B grade), are eligible, within 10 years of graduation, to apply.

Any Computing Advanced Diploma program from an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology (CAAT), that is broadly equivalent to the three-year Advanced Diploma program T861 (Computer Systems Technology - Networking) offered by St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology at Windsor, Ontario, (http://www.stclaircollege.ca/), with a grade-point average of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 (or a cumulative average of at least a B grade), are eligible, within 10 years of graduation, for admission to Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours Applied Computing) degree program offered by the School of Computer Science at the University of Windsor under the provisions of this agreement.

Graduates of CAAT program, specified above, applying to the University of Windsor for the Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours Applied Computing) Degree Program more than 10 years after completing the Diploma Program, with a grade point average of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 (or a cumulative average of at least a B), will require the approval of the Director of the School of Computer Science.

In addition to the appropriate three-year Advanced Diploma and grade point average, applicants to the Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours Applied Computing) Degree Completion Program are required to have successfully completed Grade 12U Advanced Functions. The successful completion of Grade 12U Calculus and Vectors is strongly recommended.

Cancellation Policy

The program will be monitored through undergraduate program reviews, occasional surveys of graduates, annual undergraduate assessments and reports. This transfer pathway may be cancelled if major program changes at either institution occur. Any change to the transfer pathway will not affect current students. Students enrolled at Windsor at the time of change or cancellation shall be allowed to complete their degree based on the terms of the original pathway.
