“Credit for credit” transfer, according to the following outline will be offered to qualified students who have (i) been accepted to the transfer program, (ii) completed the ASU program and are eligible to receive their diploma and (iii) been admitted as transfer students from the ASU Program at Seneca into the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto.

 

Students are eligible to receive up to 6.0 full-credit equivalents in transfer credits from their ASU diploma studies
(up to 4.0 FCEs from Table 1 and up to 2.0 FCEs from Table 2).

NOTE: This assessment is based on courses given at Seneca Polytechnic and the Faculty of Arts & Science in the academic year when this agreement was signed and is subject to review during the life of the program.

 

Students with joint program status who complete Faculty of Arts & Science courses will have those credits “retained” in their Arts & Science record upon formal admission as degree students to the Faculty, that is, the course and mark will be retained as part of their academic record in the Faculty rather than treated as a transfer credit.

  • have achieved a grade of 60% in your qualifying course at U of T,
  • have completed your ASU college diploma with a CGPA of 3.0 at Seneca, and
  • receive a final recommendation from your college,

then you are eligible to transfer into degree studies within the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto.

Cancellation Policy

A Committee comprised of representatives from Seneca College and the University of Toronto, including the Chair of the School of Liberal Arts from Seneca and the Registrar of Woodsworth College or their designates will meet regularly to review and assess the program. The Committee’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: in-course monitoring of the students’ progress in the ASU Program and their transition to university studies, as well as a review of their later academic success at university, and all other pertinent issues. The Committee will report annually to the appropriate administrative and academic leaders at both institutions.

 

Students enrolled in the receiving institution at the time of any change or notice of termination will be given the opportunity to complete their studies based on the terms of the transfer pathway in effect at the time of their enrolment.
