Program Transfer Search

Students beginning studies in the Police Foundations Diploma program since Fall 2023 will receive the following 6.0 transfer credits: 

• 0.5 FRSC 1100H – Introduction to Canadian Justice 
• 0.5 FRSC 2100H – Criminal Code 
• 0.5 FRSC 2110H – Police Powers 
• 0.5 WRIT 1001H – Write in Time 
• 0.5 unassigned Indigenous Studies credit at the 1000 level 
• 0.5 unassigned Policing and Community Well-being credit at the 2000 level 
• 0.5 unassigned Political Studies credit at the 2000 level 
• 2.0 unassigned Arts credits at the 1000 level 
• 0.5 unassigned Science credit at the 1000 level

Students who began studies in the Police Foundations Diploma program prior to Fall 2023 are encouraged to contact Trent University about the transfer credits received as part of this pathway.

To qualify for this agreement, students must have: 

• Successfully completed Sault College’s Police Foundations Diploma; 
• A minimum overall average of 75%

Bridging

Students pursuing majors for which introductory credits are not provided through the transfer credit block may be encouraged to complete courses in the term prior to entering Trent full-time. Consultation with an academic advisor is strongly encouraged. (http://trentu.ca/advising).

The transfer credit block for graduates of this program will be reviewed annually and adjusted, as necessary, to account for curriculum changes.
