Requirements

To qualify for this agreement, students must:

  • Successfully complete Fleming College’s Geological Technician Co-op Diploma;
  • Achieve a minimum overall average of 75%
    • Admission to the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Environmental Geoscience is competitive. As a result, meeting the terms of this pathway does not guarantee admission to the program.

Students interested in degree programs not included in this pathway are referred to the Trent University website for information about admission requirements. Applicants will be considered in accordance with Trent University's general admission requirements. Students who meet the terms of the pathway will be eligible to receive the block of credits, but all transfer credits received may not be apply in full to all degree programs. 

Applicants who do not meet the minimum average requirements, but who are otherwise admissible to Trent University, will be considered for admission based on general admission requirements.

  • Courses without specified year levels must include at least 2.0 credits at the 3000 and/or 4000 level(s).
  • Asterisked courses may only be counted once toward program requirements. Students are encouraged to carefully plan when selecting courses to ensure they acquire prerequisites, particularly for ERSC 2240H, CHEM-ERSC 3600H, and GEOG 4080H.
  • Students are strongly encouraged to take additional courses listed in category B beyond the program requirements to extend their Geoscience background.

Cancellation Policy

This Agreement will be reviewed annually, or more frequently if significant curriculum changes occur at either institution that may impact the pathway. Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing one year's written notice to the other party. In the event of termination, the parties will make reasonable efforts to ensure that students currently enrolled in the pathway are able to complete their studies without disruption.
