The Honours Bachelor of Craft and Design (Glass, Ceramics or Textile streams) Degree Completion program is designed for graduates of the Fleming College Visual and Creative Arts 2-year diploma who are looking to further their education and develop the additional skills and knowledge gained through a degree. 

The Degree Completion program will include an industry work placement (not required for students with documented, equivalent industry experience). Information about Transfer Credits and Breadth Electives will be provided to students after admission to the program.

Sheridan’s Honours Bachelor of Craft and Design Program Eligibility for graduates of Fleming College, Haliburton School of Arts and Design Visual and Creative Arts 2-year diploma:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses:
• One English, Grade 12 (ENG4U) with a minimum 65%
Or
• One Sheridan COMM 19999 (Essential Communication Skills) with a minimum 65%

plus

• Minimum 60% overall average

plus
• Overall GPA of 2.5 (65%) in the Visual and Creative Arts diploma
• Portfolio of work from the VCAD program
• Written statement of Intent

Applicant Selection
Eligible applicants are selected on the assessment of their previous academic achievement (the average of their six highest senior-level credits, including required courses and their VCA Diploma GPA) and the results of a portfolio assessment. A portfolio fee is required with submission.

Sheridan has been granted a consent by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities to offer this applied degree for a 7-year term starting May 26, 2021. Sheridan will ensure that all students admitted to the Honours Bachelor of Craft and Design program during the period of consent will have the opportunity to complete the program within a reasonable time frame.
