  • Review the admission requirements for all programs at Mohawk College:

  • A minimum grade of 60% for Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diplomas, Ontario College Graduate Certificate courses, or the elevated passing grade of the Mohawk course, whichever is greater, is required to be eligible for transfer credit. A minimum grade of 70% for degree-level transfer is required where a diploma-level course is to be deemed eligible for transfer credit to a degree-level course. The higher requirement applies unless otherwise specified in an applicable articulation agreement. Where an articulation agreement exists, its terms take precedence.

  • Mohawk College awards advanced standing and exemptions (equivalencies) in recognition of previous learning.

  • The amount of transfer credit you can receive is limited by the Mohawk College Program Promotion and Graduation Requirements Policy.  To qualify for a Credential, students using credit for prior learning must complete at least 25% of the program requirements at the College. To be eligible for graduation, all students must meet the 25% residency requirements.

  • Mohawk College will generally consider courses completed within the past 5 years for transfer credit. Requests beyond 5 years will be considered at the discretion of the program area.
