Students entering the Business - Human Resources Diploma program in Fall 2024 or later will receive the following 10.0 credits, provided they meet eligibility requirements:

• 0.5 ADMN 2230H - Human Resource Management
• 0.5 ADMN 2410H - Communications in Organizations
• 0.5 ADMN 3220H - Organizational Selection in Canadian Workplace
• 0.5 ADMN 3270H - Human Resource Planning
• 0.5 ADMN 3280H - Motivation and Compensation
• 0.5 ADMN 3290H - Canadian Employment Law
• 0.5 ADMN-ECON 3500H - Economics of Industrial Relations
• 0.5 WRIT 1001H - Write in Time
• 2.0 unassigned Business Administration credits at the 1000 level
• 2.5 unassigned Business Administration credits at the 2000 level
• 0.5 unassigned Arts credit at the 1000 level

Students who entered the Business - Human Resources Diploma prior to Fall 2024 are encouraged to contact Trent University about the transfer credits received through this pathway.

To qualify for this pathway, students must:

• Successfully complete Sault College's Business - Human Resources Diploma program;
• A minimum overall average of 75%.

Students interested in degree programs not included in this pathway are referred to the Trent University website for information about admission requirements. Applicants will be considered in accordance with Trent University's general admission requirements. Students who meet the terms of the pathway will be eligible to receive the block of credits, but all transfer credits received may not be apply in full to all degree programs. 

Applicants who do not meet the minimum average requirements, but who are otherwise admissible to Trent University, will be considered for admission based on general admission requirements.

• 0.5 ECON 1020H - Introductory Macroeconomics

• 0.5 credit from the following:
  • 0.5 ADMN 2600H - Applied Quantitative Analysis for Business
  • 0.5 ECON 1250H - Introduction to Mathematics for Economics and Management
• 0.5 additional Business Administration credit at the 4000 level
• 2.5 elective credits, including:
  • at least 1.0 credit at the 3000 and/or 4000 level;
  • no more than 1.5 credits at the 1000 level;
  • at least 0.5 credit from the Approved Indigenous Course List.

*Additional notes: Courses marked with an asterisk (*) above are required for the Specialization in Human Resource Management. Students must achieve a minimum grade of 65% in each, and a minimum overall average of 70%, in order to achieve the specialization.

This Agreement will be reviewed annually, or more frequently if significant curriculum changes occur at either institution that may impact the pathway. Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing one year's written notice to the other party. In the event of termination, the parties will make reasonable efforts to ensure that students currently enrolled in the pathway are able to complete their studies without disruption.
