Students who entered the Environmental Technology Advanced Diploma program since Fall 2018 will receive the following 10.0 transfer credits, provided they meet the eligibility requirements:

• 0.5 ERSC-GEOG 2080H - Natural Science Statistics

• 0.5 ERSC 2220H - Environmental assessment: Chemical and laboratory methods
• 0.5 ERSC 2230H - Environmental assessment: Sampling and analysis
• 0.5 ERSC 2240H - Ecological assessment for natural resource management
• 0.5 ERSC-BIOL 2260H – Introductory Ecology
• 0.5 ERSC-GEOG 4080H – Hydrogeology
• 0.5 ERST 2525H – Critical Environmental Thinking: Political Economy and Policy Process
• 0.5 BIOL 1020H - Foundations of Biodiversity
• 0.5 BIOL 3050H – Limnology
• 0.5 BIOL 3190H – Wild Plants of Ontario
• 0.5 CHEM 1000H – Introductory Chemistry I
• 0.5 INDG 1001H - Foundations for Reconciliation
• 0.5 WRIT 1001H - Write in Time
• 0.5 WRIT 2002H – Write It Up: Effective Communication
• 0.5 unassigned Environmental and Resource Science credits at the 2000 level
• 0.5 unassigned Environmental and Resource Science credits at the 3000 level
• 0.5 unassigned Environmental and Resource Studies credit at the 2000 level

Students who entered the Environmental Technology Advanced Diploma program prior to Fall 2018 are encouraged to contact Trent University for information about transfer credits received through this pathway.

To qualify for this agreement, students must:

• Successfully complete Fleming College's Environmental Technology Advanced Diploma program;
• Achieve a minimum overall average of 75%.

Students interested in degree programs not included in this pathway are referred to the Trent University website for information about admission requirements. Applicants will be considered in accordance with Trent University's general admission requirements. Students who meet the terms of the pathway will be eligible to receive the block of credits, but all transfer credits received may not be apply in full to all degree programs. 

Applicants who do not meet the minimum average requirements, but who are otherwise admissible to Trent University, will be considered for admission based on general admission requirements.

Students must complete the following 10.0 credits at Trent University to fulfill requirements for the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Environmental and Resource Science:

• 0.5 ERST 3000H - Environmental Professional Practice
• 0.5 MATH 1051H - Non-Calculus Statistics 1: Elementary Probability and Statistics
• 0.5 credit from the following:
  • 0.5 ERSC 1040H - Earth's Physical Processes and Environments;
  • 0.5 ERSC 1050H - Introduction to Climate Change Science and Policy;
  • 0.5 ERST 1030H - Human Geographies in Global Context;
  • 0.5 SAFS 1001H - Introduction to Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems
• 0.5 credit from the Trent School of Environment Capstone Course List
• 4.0 additional Environmental and Resource Science credits at the 3000 level or beyond
• 4.0 elective credits, including 0.5 Math credit

*Additional notes: 

• Courses without specified year levels must include no more than 3.0 credits at the 1000 level. Choice credits must also include at least 2.5 additional science credits to meet requirements for the Bachelor of Science (Honours).
• Trent University also offers a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Environmental and Resource Studies. Requirements for the Environmental and Resource Studies degree differ from those listed above. Students interested in the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) are referred to the Academic Calendar for more details.
• Elective credits may be reduced, depending on the Trent School of Environment Capstone Course chosen. A current list is available at https://trentu.ca/calendar.

This Agreement will be reviewed annually, or more frequently if significant curriculum changes occur at either institution that may impact the pathway. Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing one year's written notice to the other party. In the event of termination, the parties will make reasonable efforts to ensure that students currently enrolled in the pathway are able to complete their studies without disruption.
