The post-bridge PN to B.Sc.N. pathway leading to an Honours degree in Nursing (B.Sc.N.) consists of 20 credits with at least 12 credits in NURS. Upon completion of their RPN and approved bridge programs, students will normally have completed and received transfer credit for:

• 0.5 BIOL 1050H - Human anatomy
• 0.5 BIOL 1051H - Human Physiology
• 0.5 BIOL-CHEM 1550H - Introductory Life Sciences
• 0.5 NURS 1000H - The individual as nurse
• 0.5 NURS 1001H - Nursing as a profession
• 0.5 NURS 1002H - Introduction to foundational practice concepts
• 0.5 NURS 1020H - Clinical practice in a residential setting
• 0.5 NURS 2001H - The family in the community
• 0.5 NURS 2021H - Family focused practice
• 0.5 NURS 2550H - Advanced life sciences
• 0.5 NURS 3021H - Clinical practice focused on chronic disease management
• 0.5 PSYC 1020H - Introduction to Psychology I: Experimental and biological bases of behaviour
• 0.5 PSYC 1030H - Introduction to Psychology II: Social and personality perspectives
• 2.0 elective credits at 1000-level
• 0.5 credit elective at 2000-level

Open to graduates from any Registered Practical Nursing (RPN) diploma programs who are registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.  Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (75) and not less than 70 in nursing courses to be considered for admission.  Students who successfully complete all bridging courses will be eligible for admission to Trent's B.Sc.Nursing program offered at the George Brown College campus.

0.5 NURS 3020H - Clinical practice focused on acute care
0.5 NURS 3021H - Clinical practice focused on chronic disease management
1.5 NURS 4020C - Independent nursing practice A

• 1.5 NURS credits consisting of one of:

1.5 NURS 4021C - Independent Nursing practice B  or
1.5 NURS 4022C - Independent nursing practice C            

• 0.5 NURS credit from one of Advanced Topics Group 1
• 0.5 NURS credit from one of Advanced Topics Group 2
• 0.5 credit elective beyond the 2000-level

The Agreement will be reviewed every three years.  This Agreement may be terminated by either party.  In this case, notice of one year is required.  In the event of termination of the Agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.
