Équivalences de cours accordées

Admitted students are given advanced standing to the second year of the program, and will receive transfer credit for SWP 36A/B Field Practicum at the time of admission.

Successful applicants are required to complete two (2) additional courses from first year as part of their degree requirements, as follows:  One (1) lower level liberal studies course, and SWP 331 Social Work Theories of Practice.

Exigences

Graduation from a Social Service Worker  or Human Services Counselor Diploma from a public Canadian College (or any diploma from a public Canadian college that is eligible for registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers), with a cumulative grade point average of B / 3.0 or higher, and  LESS than two years accumulated, paid, full-time equivalent, relevant work experience in the social services field, is required for admissions consideration for second year entry.

Given the strong competition applicants will normally be required to present academic averages significantly higher than the minimum.

PLEASE NOTE:  College diploma applicants with two years or more accumulated, paid, full-time equivalent, relevant work experience in the social services field will not be considered and should apply to the part-time Advanced Standing - Third Year Entry option.
