- 1.0 CHYS 4882Y - Placement-Field-Based Learning, or 1.0 unassigned Child and Youth Studies credit at the 4000 level
- 0.5 INDG 1001H - The Foundation for Reconciliation
- 0.5 unassigned Child and Youth Studies credit at the 2000 level
- 0.5 unassigned Psychology credit at the 2000 level, B2 category
- 1.5 unassigned Arts credits at the 1000 level
- 0.5 unassigned Science credit at the 2000 level
*Additional notes: Students seeking placement opportunities at Trent may have the transfer credit for CHYS 4882Y - Placement-Field Based Learning with 1.0 unassigned Child and Youth Studies credit at the 4000 level. Students must e-mail admissions@trentu.ca to request this adjustment.
Students who began studies in the Early Childhood Education Diploma program prior to Fall 2022 are encouraged to contact Trent University for information about transfer credits received as part of this pathway.

- successfully completed Durham College's Early Childhood Education Diploma program;
- a minimum overall average of 75%.

Students are required to complete the following 15.0 credits to fulfill requirements for the Child and Youth Studies degree:
- 0.5 CHYS 1000H - Introduction to Child and Youth Studie
- 0.5 CHYS 1001H - Child and Youth: Identity Theory and Voice
- 0.5 CHYS 2001H - Child and Youth Rights and Legal Issues
- 0.5 CHYS 2005H - Child and Adolescent Development
- 0.5 CHYS 2006H - Indigenous Knowledge for Children and Youth
- 0.5 CHYS 2010H - Introduction to Research Methods
- 0.5 CHYS 3001H - Case Studies of Professional Ethics and Risk Management
- 0.5 SOCI 1001H - Introduction to Sociology I: Critical Foundations
- 0.5 credit from the following:
- PSYC 1020H - Introduction to Psychology Part 1: Experimental and Biological Bases of Behaviour; or
- PSYC 1030H - Introduction to Psychology Part 2: Social and Personality Perspectives
- 2.0 additional Child & Youth Studies credits at the 3000 level
- 0.5 additional Child & Youth Studies credit at the 4000 level
- 8.0 additional credits, including:
- At least 3.0 credits at the 3000 level or above;
- No more than 2.5 credits at the 1000 level.

The agreement will be reviewed every three years, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.
