Exigences

To qualify for this agreement, students must have:
- successfully completed Centennial College’s Liberal Arts Diploma with the Indigenous Knowledges Certificate*;
- a minimum overall average of 75%.

*Students who are completing the Indigenous Knowledges Certificate are required to email admissions@trentu.ca following the submission of their transcripts to indicate this completion (or anticipation of completion). Admissions will reference the transcript to ensure all courses have been completed for the certificate prior to awarding the transfer credit block.

Conditions de résidence dans le programme

Students must complete the following 10.0 credits to fulfill requirements for the Indigenous Studies degree:

  • 1.0 INDG 2100Y - Indigenous Peoples and State Relationships
  • 1.0 INDG 3813Y - Indigenous Studies Research Methodology
  • 0.5 INDG 4210H - Honours Collegium 
  • 0.5 INDG 4202H - Honours Collegium: Building a Four Directional Understanding
  • 4.5 Indigenous credits in addition to those above, including at least 0.5 credits from Categories A, C and D
  • 2.5 elective credits 

*Additional notes: Indigenous Studies credits without specified year levels must include at least 2.0 credits at the 4000 level. Additionally, elective and Indigenous Studies choice credits must include at least 3.0 credits at the 3000 and/or 4000 level(s) (in addition to Indigenous Studies 4000 level requirements), and no more than 0.5 credit at the 1000 level.

The agreement will be reviewed annually, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.
