- 0.5 CHYS 3001H - Case Studies of Professional Ethics and Risk Management
- 0.5 CHYS 3880H - Career Development Through Community Service Learning
- 1.0 CHYS 4882Y - Placement-Field Based Learning, or 1.0 unassigned Child and Youth Studies credit at the 4000 level
- 0.5 INDG 1001H - The Foundation for Reconciliation
- 0.5 WRIT 1001H - Write in Time
- 0.5 unassigned Child and Youth Studies credit at the 2000 level
- 2.5 unassigned Arts credits at the 1000 level
*Additional notes: Students seeking placement opportunities can replace the transfer credit received for CHYS 4882Y - Placement-Field Based Learning with 1.0 unassigned Child and Youth Studies credit at the 4000 level. Students must e-mail admissions@trentu.ca to request the adjustment.
Transfer credits for students beginning studies in the Child and Youth Care program prior to Fall 2020 will be awarded on a course-by-course basis.

To qualify for this agreement, students must have:
- successfully completed George Brown College’s Child and Youth Care Advanced Diploma program;
- a minimum overall average of 75%.

Students are required to complete the following 13.0 credits to fulfill requirements for the Child and Youth Studies degree:
- 0.5 CHYS 1001H - Child and Youth: Identity Theory and Voice
- 0.5 CHYS 2001H - Child and Youth Rights and Legal Issues
- 0.5 CHYS 2005H - Child and Adolescent Development
- 0.5 CHYS 2006H - Indigenous Knowledge for Children and Youth
- 0.5 CHYS 2010H - Introduction to Research Methods
- 0.5 SOCI 1001H - Introduction to Sociology Part I: Critical Foundations
- 0.5 credit from the following:
- 0.5 PSYC 1020H - Introduction to Psychology Part 1: Experimental and Biological Bases of Behaviour
- 0.5 PSYC 1030H - Introduction to Psychology Part 2: Social and Personality Perspectives
- 1.5 Child and Youth Studies credit at the 3000 level in addition to the above
- 0.5 Child and Youth Studies credit at the 4000 level
- 7.5 elective credits, including:
- At least 3.0 credits at the 3000 and/or 4000 level(s);
- No more than 1.0 credit at the 1000 level.

The agreement will be reviewed annually, or sooner in the event of major curriculum changes in either partner’s programs. This agreement may be terminated by either party. In this case, notice of one year is required. In the event of termination of the agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.
